GIDDING AND LEWIS HDB Machine Data Extractor


 


The GIDDING AND LEWIS HDB Machine Data Extractor for Facing and Centring machines enables you to observe machines with multiple paletts, improve the actuality of information and improve the process efficiency of the plant floor.

The Industrial Data Capture module integrates resources like Pipe manufacturing machines, Heavy duty lathes or Bench eccentric presses seamlessly with ERP/MES like Semiramis or IBM and delivers consistent information (Takt Time, Net Operating Time, Performance) in real time. With the MES-ERP connector you can:

  • Acquire manufacturer (EFI, FROMAG, CRESTA...) and control-specific (HEIDENHAIN 145, VHF camfacture CNC 580/CNC 980, TRAUB TX7...) signals and operator input.

  • Combine input (Parking spindle, Error bits 1- --- 8- DB 41 or PLC error message acknowledge) to uniform machine states like In Cycle, Blocked (Blocked Down), Specific Alarm.

  • Transform states like (In Cycle, Blocked (Blocked Down), Specific Alarm) to indicators (Takt Time, Net Operating Time, Performance).

  • Analyze results in ERP/MES.

As the Manufacturing Execution System interface does not interfere with manufacturer-specific (EFI, FROMAG, CRESTA) machine programming the XMII client connector can be implemented rapidly.

By using Hardware independent, pre-built connectors for Sheet Metalforming machines, Drilling machines or Wire machines that are customized for controls (HEIDENHAIN 145, VHF camfacture CNC 580/CNC 980, TRAUB TX7...) you profit for Facing and Centring machines from low total costs of ownership.
